Weekend recap

 So this weekend was full relaxing, eating, a little bit of packing and a whole lot of the OLYMPICS!!!

I don't know about you guys but we love any form of sports in this house hold.  Football is our favorite, we are faithful Carolina Panthers fans and cannot wait until this season!! We love college sports just as much, Michael graduated from Wake Forest so of course he is a Demon Deacon and me well I was raised a Tar Heel fan, so yeah GO HEELS! So all of that was to say that we love love love sports, and the Olympics is no exception.  I personally love swimming, gymnastics and track and filed but really if you teach me the object of the game I can get in to anything, especially if team USA is involved.(I might have been enthralled in the archery match and synchronized diving)

Friday we went to some friends to cook out and watch the opening ceremonies, shout out to Ruthy and Drew. ;)  And then Saturday it was all Olympics all day, I made some banging BBQ (which I will post the recipe for later this week) so Saturday was a nice relaxing day.

Sunday we were a little bit more productive, we decided we should start packing up somethings considering we are moving in less than two weeks.  So a little back story, my hubby was supposed to be graduating in August and we were supposed to be moving to VA so we made arrangements and gave our 60 days notice to our apartment complex.  Well a few weeks ago we found out due to some delays in his experiments we wont be moving until January, so we had to find a new apartment because unfortunately they had rented our apartment, so we are moving to a different apartment in the same complex.  So yeah that was a long explanation to say we are moving but not far.

The rest of the day was spent eating left over BBQ and watching more Olympics.  Oh yeah and snuggling this little girl!

All about Bella!

So this post is all about our girl! First off we rarely call her by her real name, Bella. She has many nick names: tinks, tinkers, Bee Bop, Boopty, beepin bopin, bell pepper, pumpkin, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bottom and the list goes on and on.


So here are some more facts about Bella Boo (oh yeah there is another nick name)


First off she is precious:

Here teeth are really crooked and often get caught on her lip, we think it is hysterical!

She loves playing dress up, or maybe that's just me and she puts up with it ;)

She loves walks!

Here favorite thing in the ENTIRE world is going to Camp Bow Wow (yes I watch my dog on web cam while she is at day care, don't judge)

She is the brown blob on the left.

Hi Y'all!!!
Welcome to my new little blog and thanks for stopping by.  I guess I will take a few moments to introduce myself and what you can expect to see on my blog.

I am Tessa, I am a twenty something living in North Carolina, where I was born and raised.  I truly believe North Carolina is the greatest state in the country, sorry its just a fact ;).  I am married to my awesome, sweet and not to mention smokin hot husband Michael.  We have been married since January 2009. Michael is currently in his last semester of grad school and will be receiving his PhD in physics this December(thank you Lord).  We have a 3 and a half year old boxer named Bella and when I say she is our pride and joy I am not kidding, so if you don't like dogs go ahead and log off now.  She is definitely our first born and we treat her accordingly, so basically she is spoiled rotten.  I started this blog because... well it just seemed fun and we have some exciting things coming up over the next few months, this is our last few months living in NC, once Michael graduates we will be moving to Virginia at the first of the year for Michael's new job.  So I thought this was a great way to document our last few months in NC, our move, and eventually a way to keep friends and family in touch with whats going on in VA.

So what can you expect to see on my blog.  Well first off, a whole lot of Bella, sorry she is just that stinkin cute.  Daily life, recipes, and overall a bunch of nonsense.  Oh and most likely some bad grammar and spelling, sorry English was not my strong suit. I cannot promise I am very funny or interesting but I will do my best!

One more thing; one of my nick names when I was little was Tessa Messa and I hated it, but as I have grown up I have realized it is very fitting.  I am the most indecisvie person I know, I never can figure out exactly what I want, my house is rarely sparkling clean, and in the middle of all this I am making all these grand plans for life that God is continually teaching me that I have no idea what I am doing and that He knows best- So yeah Tessa Messa fits this blog and me perfectly!
