Happy Birthday Sarah!

Today is one of my best friend in the whole wide world's birthday, my Sarah!  Sarah and I go way way back all the way to High School, where we met and quickly became inseparable   We even worked together at a local restaurant!  And when it came time for college well we did that together too.  I have so many fun memories with her: spring break, bible class, driving around town, going out on the town, watching Grey's together EVERY thursday and the list goes on and on and on.  But those fun times are only a small part of why I love this girl so much.  She is truly one of the kindest most giving people I know, she has been there for me through thick and thin, and trust me there has been a lot of thick and thin over the past 10+ years.  Sarah now lives in Atlanta and I don't get to see her near as often as I wish I could, but I know no matter how long we have been apart as soon as we are together it is like no time has passed at all.

Sarah,
Thank you for being such a terrific friend over the years, you are the absolute best and I am beyond grateful for our friendship.  I love you to the moon and back! Happy Birthday!

My favorite memories.

We are smack in the middle of the dull-drums of winter and we have been up to absolutely nothing blog worthy.  So why not take this time to look back at some of my favorite pictures of Michael and I over the past few years.  We have only had professional pictures of us taking twice: our engagement and wedding. I would really like to change that soon and get some pictures done of us with Bella, here's to hoping. So here are some of my most cherished memories.
First off our engagement pictures, we had these taken the Fall after we got engaged.  Its hard to believe it was 5 1/2 years ago.

And now our wedding pics:

Love this picture of the church.

The kiss!

This picture melts my heart! Daddy's girl!

With the people we love!

Hope you enjoyed! Spring please come soon!

4 years with Bella!

4 years ago today we drove out to Fuquay Varina, NC and picked up the sweetest tiny little puppy ever! I remember that day like it was yesterday, and I cannot believe it was 4 years ago. I also had no idea that tiny little puppy would become such a huge part of our lives. She is truly the best, she has so much personality, shes hilarious, silly, and super sensitive, she actually gets her feelings hurt haha and even pouts. Who says dogs aren't kids? I guess you could say we are biased but actually we are not the only ones that love Bella so much. Our entire family loves her also, Auntie Jordan is always buying her new toys and spoiling her like any Auntie should do. And when my Mom or Dad call it's usually "oh hey how are you" "how's Bella?" haha. She truly is one loved pup. So here's to 4 years with our sweet, silly sometimes crazy Bee Bop! And now some pictures of baby Bella!

These are from the day we went and visited her the first time, she was around 4 weeks old and oh so chunky!

Snoozin on my legs

Pretty girl!

First snuggle.

Layin with her bros, she was the only girl.

And these are from the day we picked her up, February 9th, 2009. She was 7 weeks old.

Sweet girl!

I still try and do this with her, she's not a big fan :(

Super Bowl 2013

Like I have mentioned before, Michael and I are huge football fans so the Super Bowl is one of our favorite days of the year, and we were both thrilled that this Super Bowl didn't involve the Patriots, Giants or Steelers yay for some variety!  This year we stayed in and had a Super Bowl party for two, let's be honest here this was not all our choice we just don't have any friends in VA yet, I know losers haha!  We still had a great time and of course it's not the Super Bowl if you don't make some delicious unhealthy junk food so that's what we did, and where do you go to find awesome recipes? Why Pinterest of course  So I thought I would share with you our Super Bowl menu!

We started off with my famous bean dip and by far the easiest thing in the world to make, I have literally been making it for every Super Bowl since I was 12.  I posted the recipe a while back check it out here.

Sorry I couldn't get a pic of it without some missing, someone was a little eager to dig in!

And there he is Mr. Eager himself!  This is one of Michael's favorite things I make!

Next up on the menu are these pizza rolls I found here on Pinterest.  These suckers were AMAZING!!!! So so so good!  They were also easy, can you see my theme this year, minimal effort in the kitchen.

And last but not least dessert and this one was another Pinterest find, check it out here.  These turned out great as well, next time I think I might drizzle some melted chocolate on top of the cracker oh heck what am I talking about? I'm going to coat them in melted chocolate, I mean can you really ever have to much chocolate?

Place rolos on a cracker, place in a 350 degree oven for 3-5 mins.  Just long enough for the rolos to get soft and melty.

Then press another cracker on top, allow them to cool.  I placed them in the fridge for about 30 minutes and they were ready to go!

Enjoy!

That sums up our menu for Super Bowl 2013, it was nice and relaxing and low key which suits us pretty well. As far as the outcome of the game well I guess I would have to say I was pulling for the 49ers, when I was little before the Panthers came to NC in 1995 I was a 49ers fan and loved Jerry Rice.  However I love the movie the Blind Side, so to see Michael Oher win a Super Bowl wasn't disappointing.  Finally let's talk about the true highlight of the night this commercial:

I seriously cried for close to five minutes, oh my goodness this melted my heart.

Well that's it friends, no more football till August.  This really does depress me some but one thing that cheers me up is knowing that March Madness is just around the corner! Go Heels! :)
